Moqadam Residential Building
The combination of sleek lines, softly curved polygons, and parametric surfaces make breathtaking sight visually striking and dream houses.
The Moqadam project is one of those striking projects that we’ve designed and managed although we couldn’t manifest the philosophy of fluid architecture because of the challenges mentioned below.
The Moqadam project is 920 square meters on four floors( GF, +1F, and a duplex). It is located in Valiasr street, Qom County, Qom Province, Republic Islamic of Iran. The climate of Qom province varies between a desert and semi-desert.
The client asked to redesign a semi-constructed residential building base on fluid architecture which was the main challenge for us as interior designers to design the building that wasn’t constructed for his expectations. Most parts of the building construction were completed at that level such as the building structure, interior partitioning, and air conditioning system.in the design process we realized we don’t have enough skylight for various parts of the house. now we had two big problems to solve.
So, first of all, we had to find a way to exert the fluid surfaces on a solid base. Usually, the first idea that comes to mind is the worst idea! But in this case, the first idea was the best one. according to client expectations and prebuilt issues mentioned above, we decided to merge the fluid substrate with solid ones and the air condition channels that made the altitude codes low were going to hide between the substrates.
the skylight issues were solved by applying light panels that were balanced with the skylight and designed a skylight window at the ceiling of the last floor’s master room.
